The construction

One bonded composite. Three engineered layers.

Every TERMOTECH run is a bonded pipe-in-pipe assembly. You select the carrier for the medium and the casing for the environment — the PUR core ties them into a single stiff, low-loss element.

Carrier pipe

The medium-contact pipe. Selected for chemical resistance, temperature and pressure: thermoplastics, glass-fibre (GRP) or stainless steel.

02

PUR foam insulation

Rigid polyurethane core. Bonds the two pipes, adds stiffness and delivers the thermal performance — and houses the leak-detection conductors.

Outer casing

The protective jacket. UV-stable HD-PE to EN 253 for buried runs, or spiral-wound SPIRO galvanised steel / aluminium where mechanical protection is needed.

Self-regulating heating cable

A self-regulating matrix raises or lowers output with surface temperature — it cannot overheat or burn out, even where it overlaps itself.

  • Frost protection to a set point, e.g. +5 °C
  • Constant-temperature hold for the medium
  • TL variant: pulled through an aluminium tunnel — long runs, no joints
  • Ex-rated versions for explosive atmospheres
Leak detection conductors in a pre-insulated tee

Leak-detection monitoring

Conductors embedded in the PUR foam signal moisture ingress and let you check the wetting state of pipes and joints at any time.

  • Impulse system — copper conductors 2×1.5 mm² (standard)
  • Resistive BRANDES system — NiCr sensor wire (on request)
  • Portable testers or fixed detectors with fault locators
